Dr. Petra Kern recently served as the inaugural Artist-in-Residence for the emerging Master of Arts in Music Therapy program at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore. During her residency, she delivered two keynote presentations and contributed to an expert panel discussion at the Inclusion, Innovation, and Technology Symposium, advancing critical dialogue on inclusive music education in alignment with Singapore’s Enabling Masterplan 2025.

Throughout the week, Dr. Kern facilitated an intensive research seminar series with graduate music therapy students, guiding them through the principles of evidence-based practice, research design, and academic writing.

She also engaged in a series of strategic meetings with faculty and institutional stakeholders to support the ongoing development of Singapore’s music therapy education and to explore future international collaborations.
